Default Denmark naval officer's saber mod. 1840/49

In case that there are some members interested in Danish navy swords, there are two highly recommendable books mpublished by the Danske Vaabenhistoriske Selskab.

The Danes have a fine naval history, including piracy/privateering during the Napoleonic period. Beautiful sword, BTW!

I agree that Denmark has beautiful sea swords, but unfortunately they are rare. I also have a naval quartermaster officer’s saber, model 1932, but it’s already 20th century.
