Ordinary Talibon/Talibong just a bit unusual
This is a WW2 talibon bring back of decent construction and as such nothing unusual except that this is the first one that I have seen that has been personalized for a Japanese soldier.I'm sure that there are plenty of them out there, but I haven't encountered any until now.
I would be interested in hearing of and especially seeing other examples. |

Nice example of a Visayan piece modified for a Japanese soldier.
Even Japanese blades (not nihonto) were made in the Philippines, Indonesia, Manchuria, etc. for Japanese soldiers. |

Interesting; was there wartime production of Arisaka bayonets in the Philippines as in Manchuria?
