Default help with inlay needed.

Who can tell me something about these inlay symbols?
I will post more pictures of the sword later because would like to see
reactions without prejudice.

best regards from Holland

Hi,

The cross might be that of the Maltese Order, a medieval templar's cross (German: Tatzenkreuz), the other symbol is possibly a poor and maimed representation of an orb and cross, as Dirk pointed out.

The blade seems to be of high medieval date, maybe of the age of the crusades.

Highly interesting indeed. Can't wait to see the whole piece.

And to Fernando, whose extremely good nose for anything medieval once more led him perfectly right - believe me, amigo: this is something very special!

Best,
Michael
