Just purchased this Karambit
Hi All,
I purchased this karambit last night with the following description the steel dagger resembling a claw with a hammer formed wooden grip with ring finial, housed in a white metal mounted wooden sheath, 13.5 cm in length I have never seen one in person or for sale or at auction a few on dealers sights though, are they a rare item as there is not a lot on this forum on them with only 6 threads featuring them and non ever in the sale section. Taughts and opinions welcome. I will be picking up hopefully over the weekend I am assuming Indonesian, so with pictures I have supplied i would love to hear your opinions on this piece, I got it quite cheap so don't hold back with negatives if you feel they are needed. Regards all, Ken |

Yes nice and Indonesian.
I'll bet the silver will clean up nicely. |

There are a few in Artzi's old site, for reference. (I'm very grateful for their preserving all this information).

A very nice one! Would like to see it again after you have given it a little bit TLC. When you ever get bored of looking at it I would be happy to give it a new home!

Thanks all for the thumbs up and information
Rick I think you are right very similar indeed, Mine has the silver rings also, if you look at the auction house picture you can see they have slipped down on the scabbard but they all are still there. I probably wont clean it though as I like items to show a bit of age, Sorry Detlef this one is a keeper, Thanks' Ken |
