Indonesian Sword ID Requested
Hi All,
I know that this type of sword has been covered in the forum but, because I never thought I would get one, I wasn't paying attention. I would like to know the names for the sword and for the people who used it plus any forum links that members may be able to provide. My sword blade is 18.75" (about 47.5cm) long and the pamor is good. The hilt is made of two pieces of horn that have been pinned (with a single nail) and glued together. The sheath may be newer than the blade and the hilt but the horn sheath throat matches the hilt which may indicate that the sheath was made for the sword. The drag is a contrasting piece of wood and may have been separated from the shaft by a horn or bone washer. Sincerely, RobT |

Thanks For The Complement
Henk,
Glad you like it. I know that they are a bit rare so I never thought that I would get one, let alone such a classic example with a sheath no less. Sincerely, RobT |
