Cotoroanta,

There seems to be a MAJOR modern cottage craft industry where you are, turning old pieces of weapons and non weapons part, and turning them into something they are not or never were.

What nice authentic looking part of some pieces you have presented, they have unfortunately been recently ground and polished to a state of modern Kitch, leaving no discernable clarity of them being antique or modern.

This example you present, it is an empire sharpening steel that has been modified to look like something one may consider an ancient form.

You seem to have some sound knowledge of what you are presenting in so far as titles go, yet not on the craft that went in to making these in antiquity, or discerning new aspects from older potential aspects.

A little more lead in for each item would be a major help, where and how you located these items and when, what attracted you to them, why you require confirmation post ownership in so far as did you have some doubts at the time of purchase? What you knew before buying or making/modifying these things, or what you were told if you purchased these things. How long have you been collecting?

Adding spurious marks or inscriptions with laser etching turns these otherwise fantasy re- creations into fakes. Something made with the deliberate intention to mislead or defraud.

Threads closed in view of author's attempt to enquire on countless pieces still in active commercial venues.
