Red face Stirrup for (urgent?) coments

I am about to leave this place (back home) and wouldn't like to go without acquiring this item.
Would it be genuine? it looks like it is.
Origin ... age? Would anybody be able here to coment about it?

I see them regularly described as either Spanish Colonial or specifically located to a south american country.
later 19thC?
Not much of a market for them as far as I've seen. Fairly commonplace.

Nando,
Always welcome mate.

David,

You could put a good collection of these together for very little money.
They are often on 'that auction site' and are quite fun.
You could use them as decorator items, hang them on the wall and have spider plants growing out of them!

Best
Gene

....Spider plants .....actually how about mounting them on the wall (toe down) as a holder for a sword or spear ....you would need something 'above' the 'shoe' (a clip/wire fixed to the wall) to stablise it (the weapon) though.

Kind Regards David
