Default Nice Congo sword For Comment

Hi Guys

I just won this interesting African sword on ebay. The hilt looked like it had wire wrapping on it at some point but was removed. Should I bother to restore the wire or just leave it alone? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...543259046&rd=1

Here is a similar one from my collection. I wonder what the significance of the hole in the blade of your example is.

Hi NS2

You think it was a beer bottle opener? These blades were often used as money so maybe they had them stacked a on a pole or something?

I had two of these in the past, one nice, but not as nice as this one. Being prone to bouts of foolishness, they no longer belong to me Tim
