Default Opinions regarding "twin" kris

Hope everyone's doing fine. I'm puzzling over something I got from eBay- two kris that look similar at first glance, but have different signatures- one is Maranao, the other Maguindanao. They have similar hilts- probably refitted ones. The base of gangya to blade tip measurement is 20.5in. Both are considerably lighter than the usual kris, with the Maguindanaon the heavier of the two, as expected. Would like to get an opinion regarding probable age. I plan to etch them soon. TIA!

I'm sure actual experts will have better informed opinions on these, but maybe my off the cuff opinion can help flush them out ;-)

Based on the greneng, especially on the Maranao one, I'd say these are post-WWII.

Absolutely beautiful examples either way.

Have fun,
Leif

Thanks Leif!!! yep they're a joy to wield and cut with. Still got a lot of functional life left in them.
