A small gunong
A small Philippine gunong. Overall length is 9 1/2". Laminated blade is 5 5/8" long. Handle material may be kamagong? It's a nice hard wood with a brown and almost black color. The guard is made from a coin that says Queen Victoria on one side. Rubber band scabbard wrapping replaced by rattan. I'm guessing that the age is pre WWII. Comments or observations welcomed. Thanks for looking.

Since the hilt is not quite in the pistol grip form, I would also assume pre-WWII, actually at least around 1900. Although not very decorative, the bladed is nicely laminated.
