Default A REAL BIG HEADED SPEAR ..Sudan ?

Here is a big headed spear I have . It has a wire wrapped heel end
Total length 64'' . Spearhead inc socket 24'' of which most is blade . Max width of blade 4'' . Smooth hardwood shaft .

Thats a very handsome spear. Certianly East African. Is the midrid in any way like a squoshed Z in form? It might be from what was Buganda.

No it is a pronounced median ridge with a rather rounded profile.

This is an older Masai (or nearby tribe) spear, which would normally have a long iron socketed butt. Someone has wrapped wire round the lower end. Not sure from the photo if there is wood or iron below the wire wrapping ?
