Default Moro Kris half wave/half straight.

There are three basic blade configuration for Moro sword. These can correspond to the mythical Nagas. A kind of serpent or legless dragon. The Naga appear in many cultures from India, Indonesia and Philipine Islands.

The fully waved blade is a Naga moving. The half-waved/half straight blade (pictured) is a Naga in transition. Either going to sleep or waking up. The straight waved blade is a Naga asleep.

Straight blades were generally designed for fighting, as they were easier to wield in battle though all three configurations were carried.

The single fuller inlaid blade pictured is very difficult to photograph as it has been polished to a very shiny finish. I would be tempted to stain it, but do not want to change its appearance as a published piece.

The grenning is quite long, but seems ot fit in the overall balance of the sword.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Very nice Bill. Thanks for the photos. Looks like the inlay (some missing) is made of brass. Old puppy.
