Lumad artifacts
Hi, just sharing 2 artifacts, likely pre-WW2: a shaman's talisman (the tiger bell in a necklace; it doesn't ring because it contains objects) and a brass-hilted sanggi with attached bells. Artifacts may belong to either the Bagobo or Blaan tribes. Enjoy!

Nice example Xasterix! I think you might be right - usually one doesn't see a large tiger bell unless it is for talismanic.
Is there a status reason why the hilts are bronze/brass? |

Halloo sir Jose, thanks for the appreciation! The brass hilts are for status, along with the attached bells. As for the tiger bell talisman, the Lumad still make that nowadays (they use newly-made tiger bells) and continue the tradition of filling it up with miscellaneous stuff.
