Default Help with the ID of this dagger please .

Any thoughts on this rather good quality dagger ? Overall length 25 cm , blade length 14 cm . The blade is very thick and of diamond cross section with a flattened oval cross sectioned ricassso .

I believe this is French personal protection dagger, end of 19th century. Also called prostitute's dagger (Dague de prostituée or Dague De Pute).

Yes, I agree, French dagger. Could be a German blade, Ive seen German daggers from the same time frame with this blades.
