Default my previous post (about importing Keris) Apologies...

Hi

Apologies if my last post is against forum poilicy or has encouraged reposnses that were. I was only wondering if I would encounter problems.

Please don't feel bad about your previous post -- neither you nor anyone else posting on that thread did anything wrong. You may notice that a couple of Moderators removed their comments pending further review of the subject.

The Forum has no policy concerning discussions of international regulations about importing or exporting edged weapons. It is a very confusing area.

Your Moderators have some concerns about a couple of aspects of this topic and whether it would be wise to pursue it further. We are discusssing whether there might be a policy developed concerning the topic. It may take us a few days to sort out the policy implications and if anything will be recommended, but we will get back to you and other Forumites as soon as we can.

I apologize for being so curt in my closing comment. Ian is exactly right. No policy, so no violations. We just want to give the subject some thought (for your protection, not the Forum's, actually). I have added a bit more explanation to my post in the closed thread.
