Default Nice old Ottoman knife--Surmene

This Ottoman knife in its leather covered wooden sheath is dated 1319 Hijri on the blade, which converts to about 1901 on the Gregorian calendar. The blade has some minor areas of light pitting and age discoloration, and appears to be mono steel with a small inserted or hardened edge (see pics). The hilt comprises a bifurcated wooden pommel, a horn piece adjacent to the blade, and segments of mixed materials in between. The dated blade has a series of small fullers, an edge that is still sharp and a keen point to the tip. The knife fits into the sheath edge upwards, and the forward facing pommel has been darkened and worn with use (see pics).
OAL: 17 3/4 in. (45.1 cm)
Blade: 12 1/2 in. (31.8 cm)
Hilt: 5 1/4 in. (13.3 cm)
A nice old Ottoman knife that shows signs of having been worn and used. Asking $250.00 plus shipping.
