Default Small sudanese dagger

Hi all! I have bought this one, seems a nice one even if the blade seems heavy pitted from rust. Well I wait until it's here for a good clean and than I'll see what I have in the hands The seller says that on the handle is bone

Hi Flavio,
nice arm dagger, if the pommel end is silver ..there is a good chance that the bone could be elephant Ivory.

Regards David

Hello David, the seller says that the pommel is silver... I hope you're right and from pics seems ivory more than bone. Thank you

Although the african weapons are not my field of interest and admiration, I must say that looking at this small collection a feeling of admiration for some pieces comes up.

Nice pieces Lew, thanks for sharing

One really has to wonder if it is not from the same maker as the 4th one down in Lew's fine collection above.

Somewhere around 24/25 cms I guess.

The toppart is ivory with a silver ferule
The leatherwork on these scabbards is always amazing.
How do they make them ? so fine / firm and of various kinds of leather.

The dagger is here and it is indeed very nice with silver end cup and ivory pommel!!! The blade is heavy pitted but now that is clean is still a nice find and very cheap!!
