Default Mecca Jambiya

Hello All!

I just got this nice Mecca Jambiya. It is quite crude and I think it is Mid 20th century. Is this type of Jambiya made in Yemen or Saudi Arabia? The sheath and hilt are made of white metal and the blade is crude but sharp. The side knife does not come out and is only a decoration. Any comments are welocome.

Hello Aurangzeb,

This jambiya is often associated with the Air region, south of mecca. This particular piece however, seems of tourist quality, not a true jambiya.

All the Best,

Al-Anizi
