Lapland / Sami scabbard ?

Is this a fancy Lap / Sami knife scabbard ?
I cannot think of anything else.

Typical reindeers and geometric patterns.

Two pieces of antler pegged together
The dark dots are wooden inserts, purely decorative.
The leather at the top has some age to it.
The pierced holes could possibly have been for laced decoration running between them.
The suspension ring at the top is probably bone. There would have been two of these originally.

All suggestions welcome.

Although an unusual style, it does look like a Laplander scabbard to me.

Definitely Lapp. First half of the 20th century.
Not sure if the Lapps made cribbage boards. This is a scabbard, in any case.

Agree, Lapland (Sami) scabbard. I've collected Nordic knives for years. Have one similar but more solid with less spikes on the antler. I suspect they were made either for festivals, gifts or tourists. Hope you have the knife that goes with it. In my collection it is classified as folk art. Nice regardless of what you call it.
