JAPANESE NETSUKI KNIFE
NOW FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT. MOST NETSUKI ARE JUST A TOGGLE TO ATTACH A CONTAINER TO THE BELT. SOME ARE IVORY, WOOD, BONE , ECT.
THIS ONE HAS A SMALL KNIFE HIDDEN IN IT WHICH IS UNUSUAL, ITS IVORY AND VERY WELL CARVED. NETSUKI ARE POPULAR COLLECTIBLES AND SOME ARE QUITE EXPENSIVE. |

I've never seen one of these before, what a beautiful and distinguished little item.
Many thanks for sharing. |

Neat, Thanks for posting it. I've been collecting Japanese swords and related items for 40+ years and have never seen on of these.

Wow!
I've collected knives and netsuke both for a few years now but have never seen one of these either. Great find!
