Ah, David, the examples given where not meant to be exact, but just to show that there are similar styles since you said you where having trouble finding similar examples on the SEA mainland. As I mentioned in thread #24 "The sheath is probably not all that distinct...on the SEA mainland similar could be found...with the simple brass bands and chape...black lacquer covering.." indeed generic perhaps, but actually not when the blade and handle are tied in...frustratingly... I do have some photos which would satisfy you from a collector that collects only Cambodian weapons, but the photos are not mine to pass on... I know this answer is less than satisfying. I'm trying to find some other examples that I can show...knives are not my area of interest so I have not archived them as well as I have longer weapons which I collect.

Have received the knife, it's a nice little fellow. Here some just taken pictures, one for size comparison with a badik. The handle sleeve is from silver.
