Why not ask the forum menber who sold it? I'm sure he posted the link on the forum site??

I would be reluctant to ask the seller to disclose this private information unless the buyer agreed.

As so many links of sold auctions lots are discussed on this site I'll ask and see what if anything is said of it, what odds are you offering on your opening bet???

Very nice sword with original hilt & scabbard.
Be surprised if it had a twisted core.
Doubt it has a softer steel core. One of those swords that may etch nicely or may very well be mono steel.
Excellent Sulu work from the latter 19thC.

I don't see the potential for twist core here, not even a hint of it, but I do very much like the fullering.........and I have certainly been wrong before.
