Default Japanese weapons

This is a request for information.

A friend who has a beginning interest in Japanese swords & other Japanese weaponry has asked me if I can recommend a Forum or on-line discussion group that can assist him in gaining knowledge.

I have no knowledge at all in this field.

Can anybody assist with one or more recommendations?

I would also suggest the Nihonto message board.

You are welcome to discuss nihonto and related topics here. I am a regular reader of the NMB and I recommend that venue. I also recognize that the general ethnographic arms collector may have viewpoints differing from the specialist, as in this old thread. A specialist nihonto collector came across it just before me and rejected it based on condition - I found it intriguing just as it was and remains.
