Also, since the original topic is very specific and did not garner a lot of interest, I would like to expand the inquiry to other methods of floral decoration and regions. Possibly a way of tracking influences and representations of plants as their images migrate around the world.

Here is a video of Bidri work. We have discussed inlay techniques on numerous threads. This is a great demonstration of an inlay technique. I do not believe they show the wire inlay being polished by agate in this video. Is it not necessary for their purpose or is a little secret held back? The blackening process of the background metal I had never heard of before. The future of traditional crafts are discussed in this video as well.
