Default Sewar bought at Pudsey Militaria Fair.

Went to my local militaria fair just outside Leeds UK, a bit sparse on both sides of the tables as there were two others on the same day. This turned up on one table, the guy always has something worth looking over, but very much "caveat emptor" as half the time, he does not know what he has and is honest about it. It was in a bit of a state so I cleaned it up, and show it here for advice and comment. The blade is now clean, rust and gunge free, but I don't know how far to take it further, if at all..... And yes, that is a keris scabbard top married to a sewar scabbard lower part.

Hello David,

Interesting sewar! I personally wouldn't go any further with the blade. Can we see how the blade fit inside the scabbard?

Regards,
Detlef

It fits OK in the lower section, as for the upper....

Thank you David but I've meant a pic with the blade inside the scabbard.

Hello David, I've meant a picture from up with the blade inside the scabbard to see how the blade fits inside the scabbard.

Regards,
Detlef

Are these adequate, I could post others from the better phone, but it's a right old rigmarole to do so.

This was what I wanted to see, thank you. The scabbard mouth is from a keris and a tribal repair for the lost original scabbard mouthpiece. It has its own charm!

Regards,
Detlef
