Default Fragment stucco Griffin

Dear All,

I recently purchaced this fragment of a stucco depicting maybe a griffin?
It measures 26x23cm and shows remains of blue paint in the mouth and under its leg.
It is said that it comes from Castile region in Spain. The piece of paper on the back says "No 103. fragmento Estuci XIV - XV [century]. Burgos - Sta Maria".
In Burgos there is the cathedral of Santa Maria. I guess it would be hard to determine if it really originates from that cathedral, but can someone of you state if this piece could really be from the 14th or 15th century. Does anyone have an idea what it depicts?

Thanks and best regards
Andreas
