Salaams Harry Wagner, I have a bunch of people looking at this and of course ..it is Islamic writing thus it carries with it some Talismanic effect. We think it carries a number of times repeated Allah and may allude to the famous Bismillah wa rehman wa rahiim... which is a sort of all encompassing religious expression related to bringing good luck...warding off evil from the blade and the owner ... It may be remembered that all Islamic script is Talismanic. Generally folks get a little jumpy or standoffish... reluctant...since they are reading the high Islamic words defending and protecting the blade from evil... thus they dont want to be on the receiving end of the detail... Suffice to say that you have a nice dagger with religious inscribed defence on the blade

Regards,
Ibrahiim al Balooshi.
