Dhas, Darb and other pieces for sale
Hi all.
Some items im trying to move on. All prices include world wide postage and paypal fees. All swops considered. 1. Unusual Dha sword with scabbard. Nice coral and turquiose stone work. Possible an older blade refitted in later housing. Thick blade lacquering over handle. No movement, everything solid. Total length 29 inchs, blade just under 20 inches. Not in a hurry to part with this. £175 all in takes it. 2. Kachin Dao (?) or Shan Dha. Extremely sharp. Shows signs of an inserted hardened edge. Approx 30 inch total length. Handle approx 11 inchs long. Blade well made and still set firm with no movement. £130 all in. 3. Thai Darb (?) No scabbard. Shows nice temper line / hardened edge. Well made blade, almost certainly 20th century. Some lettering (makers name?) and some decoration on the blade. Has engraved ridges and a copper insert on the spine of the blade. Approx 23.5 inch blade. 11 inch handle of very nice twisted wood with a more recent (?) attractive copper and brass wire overlay. Again not in a rush to part with it. £150 4. Indonesian Pedang sword, plain recent fittings, but showing nice old 20 inch pamor blade. £60 5. Nice Kukri, showing signs of heat treated edge and possible laminated blade. Nice hardwood handle showing very skilled intricate central carved section. Scabbard not original but perfect fitting. 1 x original side knife. £85 6. From an earlier thread, still have this nice British arrow marked dha from Burma. Most likely ww2 vintage. Uncommon. Now down to £140. More pics on request. Paypal or uk personal cheque only please. email me on donadam@blueyonder.co.uk or msg me here. |

Please read the Forum Rules as they apply to swap, especially rule #4.
4. The listing is to remain exclusive to the swap forum for 14 days with the item not to be listed or offered for sale in another venue during that period. If the item has not been sold following this interval, the seller may list the item elsewhere and may reply to their swap thread, posting a link to the current sale offer or auction. Sellers are expected to reply to their sale thread to advise the community if the item is sold or otherwise withdrawn from offer. Obviously there is not much to be done about it now, but please take heed of this in the future to avoid moderator action... |
