Old Shashka bladed Bedouin Sword for sale
Bedouin tribal sword with Shashka style hilt and blade.
The grip is riveted to the blade tang with two rivets. The scabbard is covered with hide and has a steel throat with design to it. Slightly shrunk with age at the drag. The piece is 93cms tip tip tip, the blade is 81 cms but the hilt covers 1cm of this. There is a very nice broad fuller running up the middle of the blade and stops 16cms from the tip. there is another fuller that is 42cms long that sits towards the spine and in the middle of the length of the blade. There is a nice false edge to the back of the blade that is 16cms long. A very interesting and scarce sword complete with original scabbard. Asking $450USD or best offer which includes registered international airmail and paypal fees. All offers considered. See images below. Please PM me or post interest here. You can email me direct but there have in the past been an number of email addressed that I cannot reply to. tedsgoldmine@optusnet.com.au Thanks Gav |

Sold, thank you for your continued interest.
Gav PS I also have a nice old Tibetan sword up on the swap forum and I'll have an Oman straight sword up shortly, along with some spear heads and a nice old carved bone eagle head knife with scabbard from Finland. Last edited by freebooter; 12th April 2009 at 11:51 AM. |

Thank you!
Thank you so much for the pleasant feedback Sa'ar.
I am very happy to see this piece back in it's home land and that you are happy with it. I will continue to post items of interest within the forum but please bookmark my new website. It is currently under construction but I am contactable here and within the site if anyone wishes to know what stock I have for offer at the moment or if you want any wish lists fulfilled. I created the site out of a need to pass on items that come my way in my relentless search for my specialist collecting area. www.swordsantiqueweapons.com best regards |
