Sword From Indonesia
This is probably a Javanese sword. the sword lost its handle ( made of horn ) . It just been stained and received its new handle and scabard.
I'm wondering whether any body can tell me about its PAMOR, I put some close up pictures here about the pamor work. People here in Indonesia call it " pasir malele" pamor. how do you think guys? Any info would be great. regards, FERRY, Jakarta, Indonesia |

JUST A GUESS BUT THE CRYSTALIZED PARMOR IS SOMETHING I HAVE MOSTLY SEEN ON WEAPONS FROM SULUWESI AND ISLANDS WAY SOUTH OF JAVA. IT MAY BE A OLDER BLADE REMOUNTED IN JAVA OR EVEN WHERE IT WAS MADE BUT NOT IN THE OLD TRADITIONAL MOUNTS. SORRY I CAN'T BE OF MUCH HELP.
