Default before and after

Let me show to you. The work I've done to my keris. I managed to get it cleaned, stained, gave it new warangka ( Surakarta Ladrang )with brass pendok, new Handle cendana wangi ( sandalwood), old copper mendak ( gold plated) .

you can find there's a significant appearence of the pamor.
I really like the sandalwood handle...smell nice. It's quite hard to find sandalwood these days.
But I've manage to find a nice gayaman mede of sandalwool. It still in process, I'll make another posting about the gayaman made of sandalwood.

Just want to share this pictures guys...

The new wrongko is nice, but personally i would put the old hilt back on. It looks like nicer wood and better workmanship (though i can't see it close up) and it is my understanding that a hilt of darker wood than the wrongko is often desirable anyway.

Thanks David,
You're 100% right, I also prefer the old hilt. It has darker wood and match better with the new warangka. But since the old hilt has a 2 cm crack just near the Selut then I put my other sandalwood hilt to replace it. I will try to put some glue on the damage hilt in order to restore it's original shape.

The old selut didnot match to the mendak, maybe I should have someone to gold pleted the selut.

any comment for the keris?

I agree with David but IMO try to change the selut with another better (maybe silver with yakut stones).
Keris seems a nice one.

About the selut, I guess a silver selut with yakut or mirah would be fine. I concern about the price of this kind selut. will cost me a lot. about US$80 for an ordinary silver yakut stone selut. I'll try to find a good one for my keris.
