Default New acquisition

Wanted to document/share this presumed Philippines bolo or short sword. Dark horn hilt, wide but thin brass guard, brass ferrule. The tang does not extend through the hilt. Fittings are no longer tight (the guard is quite loose, I cleaned off some dried glue a former owner must have applied). Long blade is nicely tapered and light. Very pointy! Thin wood scabbard held together with wire and cloth strips. The shape reminds me of a dao scabbard. There’s a zoomorphic figure on the front, possibly a reptile. I believe this is from Luzon?

OAL 65cm
Blade length 51.5cm
Blade width 3.5cm
