Default Bakunawa oddball?

Please give me some feedback on this odd bolo?
Has anyone a resembling hilt?
It seems as if something originally was attached to the lower part of the jaw (see the remaining holes).

Hello Michael, Something about this makes me wonder if at one point you hilt had a beard (hair tufts) decorating the lower jaw. Just a guess on my part. This is a very interesting piece and I cannot wait the hear what the experts have to say about it.

I think I have seen this type of Bakunawa handle before but can't remember where!? Sorry.
