Arrow cleaning the blade

has anyone experienced to remove rust on a blade by using:

electrolytic derust?

(with: water,commercial soda, and electricity)

by using this method the iron would not be affected, only the rust wil get loose.

I see several good results on the net how things in this way get derusted, but before I wil try this, maybe anyone ever tried this before and give me any advice.

Thanks for your advice,

but I still wanted to try how it would go, and what the result would be

So today a container adapted for the job, and I have hung a rusty blade
for about 8 hours in the container.
And the result is very good the rust is gone, but this is not easy to see in the pictures.
This way, only the rust comes off without sanding or brushing and it affects the blade in no way no discoloration or whatever
Also the solution is not toxic (only the gases released are explosive so only use in a ventilated area!!)

These are the pictures of the first results,

(and any comments on the blade are welkom.)

is there maybe anyone who knows where I can get arsenic-trioxide in the Netherlands? I'm not very successful so far.
