Ouch! I have a tulwar in poor condition, which I bought from eBay for about $50 some time ago. The description claimed that it was discovered in an old barn in PA and that it must have been somehow connected to the Civil War. I foolishly spent considerable time and effort cleaning it, when all I should have done was to put it in the ground, then claim that it was discovered in the Balkans and therefore ancient Roman or at least early Ottoman. However, the seller mentions about another sword, whose traces have been lost. Perhaps I should contact the buyer and offer him my tulwar as the sister sword of his new purchase - only, amazingly, slightly better preserved.
