My apologies, the crossguard on the Kilij is old/authentic (Good catch:-)!!! but the scabbard fittings were made last week by a friend of mine. To demonstrate his mastery I am attaching some other examples of his work (two silver scabbards).
A few artists can reproduce wootz, and very few can do the rest:-)
