That type of yatagans with peens in handle are almost always from bosnia, local cratsman made, and this one i would say a post ocupation (1878) made.

strange remains the wooden handle; but I have to see it first if it is indeed wood, when it arrives...

Coral is the more usual inlay on these. A well battered example from my own collection....

Could be from Sarajevo. They had yatgans and they loved to use this the of inlays.
