Several traditional items from Cambodia
Recently, a small exhibition of two people in love with Cambodia was held at the Darwin Museum in Moscow. One of them, zoologist and adventurer Oleg Shumakov, showed several items of traditional weapons from his collection.
What makes these items pleasantly different from many others is that they were purchased directly in Cambodia by a person who is fluent in the Khmer language and is well acquainted with the local culture and traditions. |

Impressive collection
Thank you for sharing. As a blade collector and speaker of the Cambodian language I have been curious about the blades of the early Khmer Empire. Due to the Khmer Rouge and the cultural destruction that followed, it seems much of that history and it’s artifacts were lost. This little collection is actually very impressive and holds lists of little points of interest.
