Default Questions about a knife I own

I have had this knife for 18 years, don't know what to call it.
Very hard wood. The finish on the blade is rough, not made for looks. For the size blade it has It is not very heavy. Has a tight fitting sheath, for day to day task, meaning not getting lost.
The hand of the owner must have been small. The handle is a little small for my hand. The lanyard is for a small wasted fellow. Or was it carried another way?

I agree with Kai. Looks like a form of Visayan talibon/garab.

Yup, and the grip looks 'westerrnized' for those who travel.
