Smile RESTORATION PROJECT ON A GOLOK

HELLO THIS GOLOK IT'S ARRIVED TODAY. IT'S IN POOR CONDITIONS , BUT I THINK THAT WITH SOME RESTORATIONS IT COULD BE A VERY NICE ITEM (ALSO FOR THE LOW PRICE ). AS YOU CAN SEE THE SCABBARD IT'S COMPLETELY OPEN, BUT THERE IS STILL A LITTLE NAIL OF WOOD, THAT WAS THE ORIGINAL METHOD TO HOLD UNITED THE TWO PIECES OF WOOD THAT MADE THE SCABBARD, AND SO IF I CAN MADE SOME OF THESE WOODEN NAILS I CAN RESTORE THE SCABBARD ALSO BECAUSE THE TWO PIECES OF HORN FOR THE TOP AND THE BOTTOM ARE IN GOOD CONDITIONS.
THE HILT IS VERY NICE BUT THE EAGLE, IN ITS LIFE, HAS LOST AN EYE, THAT WAS MADE OF IVORY. I CAN SUPPLY TO GIVE HER ANOTHER WORKING A SMALL PIECE OF IVORY. THE CLIP, THAT NEEDS TO HANG THE SCABBARD TO THE BELT IS GONE: CAN SOMEONE POST SOME DETAILED PICTURES OF THIS PIECE FROM OTHERS GOLOK SO THAT I CAN MADE BY MYSELF ANOTHER? THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE HELP, I WILL POST OTHER PICTURES AT THE END OF THE PROJECT.

The highly Europeanized treatment of the eagle is interesting to me. Is this Javanese?
Nice project; good luck.

Looks like you have something to do this weekend
Your eagle looks a bit like a parrot. But probably its another Garuda variation.
I had a bird with an eye missing as well, but I can't find it back, probably the birds gone. In case I catch it again I'll let you know.

When I was trying to catch the bird I broke my neck over the following sheath.

It might be the clip your looking for. Connectiontype is the same as your sheath foot (bone or ivory nail) and the clip is made of horn as well. From what I noticed it would fit in the retangular space left in the wood of your scabbard. On top of that this sheath had a similar carved decor as yours.

Lets hope this helps a bit
(I hope pics are clear, was a bit dark already)

OK, I THINK THAT MY WORK IS ENDED AN THIS IS THE RESULT. WHAT DO YOU THINK? AT THE END I HAVE NOT REPLACED THE CLIP FOR THE BELT, BECAUSE, AS I HAVE ALREADY SAID, I HAVEN'T FOUND A PIECE OF HORN, AND THE RESULT WITH A PIECE OF WOOD IT HASN'T SEEMED GOOD TO ME, AND SO I HAVE LEFT THE SCABBARD AS IT IS. ANYWAY THE SCABBARD IS NOW VERY SOLID AND BEAUTIFUL IMO (BUT MY OPINION IS NOT IMPARTIAL ). THE LACKING EYE HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH ONE NEW CARVED FROM AN IVORY PIECE. SO NOW THE GOLOK APPEARS A LITTLE MORE DECENT THAN AS IT WAS BEFORE

SORRY FOR THE TABLE CLOTH USED LIKE BACKGROUND. I KNOW, IT' S TERRIBLE

Nicely done, very sympathetic, working with the damage and accepting limits.

Well done and very quick as well
The bone parts look like they still could use a bit shoepolish (also helps to keep the pieces in shape). I'm sure you find a solution for your clip, just keep the pictures and who knows.
