Default Khyber Knife

Bought this Khyber Knife a few weeks back. Exactly what I was looking for, I didn't want anything too fancy, just the real thing!
Blade is 22 1/2".

Hi Bob. Agree with comments already made. Nice example.

Is the end of the hilt resting on something? It looks a bit odd.

Ian.

Ian.
I think it is resting on the tab by which one would hang the towel.

Nice buy.
To me it looks like a nice tribal 'knife' with a long blade.

Thanks everyone, glad you all like it. shayde78 is correct about Tea Towel tab! It came with a scabbard, which looks to have been recovered in black hide, fairly recently.

Funnily enough, I was looking at a Turkish KILIJ sword the other day and the owner said the scabbard was probably covered in Ass hide!

Yup, looks just like mine, which sadly did not come with a scabbard. They are also sometimes referred to as 'Salawar Yataghans' as many have an almost imperceptable 'S' curved spine. (Mine does)
