Camphor wood... Please see http://wood.mlc.gov.tw/english/a2/a01_01.asp It appears that in WW2 The Japanese cut all the camphor forests down and planted tea trees. It was discovered later that the Camphor roots were left behind but could be recovered and carved into magnificent items...Camphor produces a wonderful perfume thus was additionally ideal for scenting rooms ... ![]() Regards, Ibrahiim al Balooshi. |
