I can't answer really to your question. Maybe other members would. The Ottomans used the powder flasks available in their Empire. Some of them show strong Caucasian influences, others are related to North Africa... For me the typical ottoman gunpowder flasks are the heart shape wooden ones and the others are the silver rococo style in crescent shape. They are really connected to Turkey and the Balkans.
