Henry, I understand that it will not be easy to prepare a model for the ganja, but if you take your time, it will not be impossible.
Remember to check the overall elegance of the blade with your ganja and find inspiration from the various images of blades in books and internet sites.
The smith (empu) could find inspiration from the pamor of the blade, if you send him some photos.
As to the scabbard, you can easily adapt the mouth to the new ganja using files or a small drill. You only need patience and frequent checks. I made this several times, without experience or particular skill.
Good chance, and remember to post pics while your work proceeds. Many experienced forum members will no doubt advice you for the best result.
