Thumbs up 6 Very Nice African Spears .....comments ? Origins ?

Hi,
finally, Santa got me something I really wanted (socks are such a bore )

6 Spears , 3 seem very similar in construction ( socket arrangement and the shaft) although there are variation in spear head design.

2 of the spears have sockets with a 'triangular addition' ...a feature I have not seen before. One has very short barbs and the other has nice decoration on a rectangular (in cross section) shaft before the spearhead.

The last one has a lovely, well crafted socket with a decorated collar ...the blade seems to have laminations ..... The wooden shaft is a totally different species to the others which terminates with a socketted spade end.

I am extremely happy with them When I received them they were quite rusty and I have tried not to overclean. I believe that these are quite old, the wood has nice patination and I believe these were stored in a cool, dry environment for some time...so age cracking and warping has not occured. But, some shrinkage of the wood has.

Please if you have any ideas as to origins, or any comments at all, I would be most gratefull, thank you

Kind Regards David
