Default ID help needed Indian or Nepal(?)long knife

I recently acquired this long knife with leather sheath. What intrigued me is that at the base of the blade there is a feature like I find on kukri knives, the Hindu symbol (kokra or cho?). This leads me to think that this knife originated in either India or Nepal. Open to any information regarding place of origin and age. There is a mark stamped on the blade, which could be "ROC" flanked by two stars. The handle grips are horn, with worm holes. A fuller has been ground into the blade. Measurements are:

Overall length: 16-1/2 inches/46-1/2 cm
Blade length: 10-5/8 inches/26.5 cm

Regards,
Andrew
