Default CAPIZ TALIBONG

Hello,

This just came in today from an antique dealer in Roxas City, Capiz.(could this possibly be from the Panay-Bukidnon tribe?).

Are the features of this blade point to a particular ethnic tribe in that area (Capiz)? The blade has the profile of the linamay. The pommel- a maranhig? what is the significance of the 'hair' at the back being centrally located?

The blade is 18.75 inches with an over-all length of 26 inches.

Hilt has a red textile-like material.

Appreciate any ideas/inputs.

Kind regards,

Yves
