Default PALAWAN BLADE

Hello friends,

This blade was purchased from the same antique shop in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. If you will notice the 2nd picture (the 2 blades) the one on the bottom is the one that is a Tausug barung barung with a Palawanon scabbard, which I previously shared.

Is this a Palawanon badung or a moro barung? Looking at the features like the scabbard's okir, the hilt design, and the pommel - I have a feeling that this is the former.

I don't see the typical nylon thing on the scabbard and there's no provision for a rope for use to tie the blade around the waist.

Thanks and enjoy,

Yves
