Firangi
Recently there was a dearth of Indian weapons on the Forum.
To break the spell, I am showing my Firangi. It has a complete handle, even with fully preserved finial, and the leather on the grip is virtually congealed. I think it is a REAL Firangi, because it has what I think is an old European blade. It is very springy, 34" long and has a single wide shallow fuller. There are markings, and you can see them easily. Any opinions on the dating and the origin of the blade? |
