This is a nightmare for all of us who collect things of value. I had my collection of swords and knives pretty much cleaned out by thieves a number of years ago -- almost 20 years of collecting wiped out, and much of it could not be replaced.

Do you think there is any chance that pictures of the stolen items will be published so that any attempt to sell them at international auction or via the internet could be detected? Or do you think this is probably a "local" crime and unlikely to involve the international market? Perhaps the fact that other items were left behind might suggest the latter.
